Cold Ash Parish Council has a new vacancy for a Councillors in Cold Ash ward. The formal notice can be read below.

The role of Councillor is very varied and involves contributing to decisions on local policies and issues affecting residents. Meetings are usually held twice a month and, on average, being a councillor requires around an hour a week.

As a councillor representing your community you will :
· help keep it a great place to live and work. 
· be supported in your role and will be encouraged to undertake training. 
· have a positive outlook and a can-do attitude and be willing to work as part of a team.

Cold Ash Ward

  1. There is a vacancy on Cold Ash Parish Council for Cold Ash Ward caused by the resignation of Councillor Marie Fenner.
  2. A by-election to fill the vacancy will be held if within 14 days (not counting a Saturday or Sunday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Good Friday or a Bank Holiday) from the date below ten electors for the ward/parish give notice in writing claiming such an election to the Returning Officer.
  3. The address of the Returning Officer is West Berkshire Council, Council Offices, Market Street, Newbury RG14 5LD.
  4. If no such notice is given the Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.
